 Method Study এমন একটি টপিক যা ছাড়া IE এর প্রশ্ন হয় না বললেই চলে। কেননা আই ই এর ব্যাসিক বিষয়গুলো থেকে শুরু করে টপ লেভেল এর কাজ পরিচালনা ও উন্নয়ন করা যায় এর মাধ্যমেই। 

What is Method Study:

It is the study of method of work for a job to achieve process improvement, improve layout, improve design,
reducing fatigue and Cost, for developing easier effective method.

সহজ বাংলায় বলতে গেলে মেথড স্টাডি হলো কোনা কাজের কিভাবে পর্যায়ক্রমে উন্নয়ন করা যায় তার একটা বিশ্লেষনমূলক পরীক্ষা ও সমাধান।

The Procedure of Method Study

S.R.E.D.E.I.M

1. Selecting the Work or Operation to be Studied: Involves choosing a specific task or operation within the garment manufacturing process for analysis.
2. Recording the Current Method: Detailed observations are made to record each step of the current
method or process used to perform the selected task.
3. Examining the Method: The recorded information is thoroughly examined to identify any
inefficiencies, unnecessary steps, or opportunities for improvement in the current method.
4. Developing and Evaluating Alternative Methods: The most practical, economical, and effective
method, Having due regard to all contingent circumstances.
5. Examine the Preferred Method: Once the best alternative is selected, it is implemented
in garment manufacturing. The new process is so that it can always be identified.
6. Install: Developing the method, implementation of new method to achieve result
7. Monitoring and Follow-Up: Common practice through routine checks

Techniques of Method Study:

Use of the human body:

➢ Both hand same time.
➢ Both hands not are idle.
➢ Motion of arms symmetrical & simultaneous.
➢ Eye & hand co-ordination.
➢ Order of movement – natural rhythmical.
➢ Hand and body motion lowest Classification.

Classification of body Movement:

➢ Knuckle – Finger.
➢ Wrist – Hand & Finger.
➢ Elbow – Forearm, Hand & Finger.
➢ Shoulder – Upper arm, Forearm, Hand & Finger
➢ Trunk – Torso, Upper arm, Forearm, Hand& Finger.
